Thousands of students set to take part in Friday’s day of protest

The protests will coincide with a, prompted by the school strike by Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg.

In Ireland, demonstrations are set to take place in dozens of locations such as local authority offices or outside school gates, with the biggest protest set to take place outside Leinster House at lunchtime.
