Growing up, Pucci took lessons in Italian as a way to communicate with her great-grandparents. While studying abroad in Italy, she felt at home and immersed herself in the culture. Coming back to the States, she intended to attend law school. However, she decided to take some time off to figure out what she actually wanted to do.
Pucci designed fine jewelry for high-end clientele, which included African kings. One night, over dinner in Tuscany, her friends encouraged her to think about designing leather goods. That moment became the genesis of what is now the luxury brand. Pucci’s combination of color, type of leather and design make her collections distinct. She is redefining industry standards as she’s one of the first luxury goods designers to walk the runway during New York Fashion Week at the Nolcha Shows. Additionally, she closed a small round of funding over the summer.
