University of Limpopo students demand a campus bar 'for their safety'

Students have called for a bar to be opened at the University of Limpopo so they can imbibe in a safe environment.Academic activities at the University of Limpopo were temporarily suspended on Wednesday after protesting students demanded, among other things, a"student bar" where they could imbibe in a safe environment.

"We are not saying they must drink - or promoting that - but we know that they are already drinking, so we want them to drink in a safe environment."

And these are NESFAS students😱. It boggles once mind. Have you seen Trump's poem on black african? Is he spot on or is he a racist?

Bullshit baffles no wonder we have no discipline in schools .It is a free for all

Do they want to pay for their drinks or must it be free,

It is up to them to do that in a safe place ...bring that into learning institution how does it guarantees their safety..... kudlalwa ngathi la SASCO must accept that they nolonger advocating for students issues but personal interests

Yet we've students residing off campus and how is their safety guaranteed for leisure , freshment and socialising on weekends, and those students are most vulnerable to all sorts of victimisation and discomfort.

How ridiculous is that? I would not like it if my kids went to school where there was a bar, it woul encourage alcoholism.

People are acting like are hearing about student bar for the first time. Even University of Venda have a bar. Wat makes the ul students different from others. Not having a bar dsnt stop students from drinking. If they had a bar they wouldn't be roaming the streets of turf late
