SYDNEY, N.S. — Students at Cape Breton University hosted turban-themed events on Thursday — dubbed Turban Day — to spread awareness of the headwear’s significance and meaning for many at the school.

CBUSU president Sahilpreet Singh Chatha helped organize the event. He has been a regular wearer since grade seven. Sahilpreet Singh Chatha , the CBUSU's president, addresses viewers of a turban-wrapping demonstration while preparing to wrap a cloth around Jomal John Sony's head.
