It's the biggest home game of the season for Ohio State, and the ticket prices reflect that.

Ahead of The Game each year, rival schools Ohio State and Michigan compete to donate blood for local patients. Last year, the Buckeyes brought home the win with 1,630 pints of blood collected.

The competition is stretched over a four-week period, beginning on Oct. 25 and ending on Nov. 22. Last year was the first year Ohio State has beaten Michigan since 2017. The kickoff for the drive will begin Oct. 25 at Ohio Union’s Great Hall Meeting Room, located at 1739 N. High St. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Appointments are preferred but those wanting to donate blood can also walk in without scheduling.

Ohio State will hold 48 blood drives around campus. All donors will be gifted a commemorative T-shirt, a $5 Roosters gift card and will be entered in a drawing to win Ohio State football tickets. Blood donated during the battle will stay local and go to patients at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
