S5 and S6 pupils at a Scottish school have been told not to return to school on Monday after the building sustained damage due to Storm Babet.

In a message posted on Twitter/X, Dundee City Council said that Harris Academy had taken “some damage” as a result of the extreme weather.

“The situation will be assessed by relevant Council departments on Monday. The school is contacting those already affected directly and will continue to provide updates.”However, the Met Office has said that the red weather warning which was originally in place until midnight on Saturday is now only in place until 6pm.We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories.
