The Los Angeles Unified Board of Education voted unanimously to honor San Fernando City Council Member Cindy Montañez by the renaming of a local elementary school in her honor. With the passage of the resolution, authored by Board Member Kelly Gonez, Gridley Street Elementary will become Gridley-Montañez Dual Language Academy in the 2024-2025 school year seen here on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023.
