A university has denied being to blame after a student choked to death during a pancake eating competition on campus.

Lawyers for Sacred Heart University, Connecticut, have said Caitlin’s actions are to blame for her death.At the time, Caitlin was studying to be a social worker and was vice president of her sorority, Kappa Delta. Two nursing students at the event immediately started life-saving measures and were quickly joined by the police and paramedics.
