The Abia State House of Assembly has received a petition from a group Known as Concerned Parents Forum of students of Midwifery and Nursing School, Abia State, against the acting Director of nursing services in Abia State, Mr Nwakaego Onyeukwu. The petition borders on alleged fraudulent malpractices, intimidation and threats to expel students.

The petition was heard in the House during a plenary session. The House also received a petition against the Abia State commissioner for health, Dr Mrs Ngozi Okoronkwo, on alleged undue suspension from office of the petitioner, Mrs Dorathy Nwosu, a Director of nursing services and another petition brought by the acting Principal, School of Nursing, Umuahia, Mrs Chinyere Ogbonna against the Dean, ministry of health, Umuahia.

Also, the petition brought Dr. Ugochukwu Nwajiri, the Chairman of Ndiokonkwo house, on an alleged undue land grabbing at Oba Uzonta in Amaokwe Mba Odum autonomous community in Ozuitem, Bende LGA, against one Mr Ndionyenma Nwajiri, was referred to the Committee on public petitions to investigate and report back, within 2 weeks.
