Hundreds of pupils, families and dignitaries have gathered at the Newlands East Secondary School for the memorial service of the three girls who were killed in a taxi crash last week.

Durban -

Ayanda Mtshali, Luyanda Ngubane and Tina Ngubane died last Wednesday on their way to school when a taxi allegedly skipped a red traffic light at the interchange between Dumasani Makhaye and Inanda Road. Earlier in the day, the driver of the taxi that killed the girls, Sibonelo Zwane, 32, was granted R3000 bail at the Ntuzuma Magistrate's Court.
