JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Duval County School Board is suspending its search for a new superintendent, after a unanimous vote Wednesday afternoon.asked members of the Florida School Board Association, the group they hired to conduct the superintendent search, about the 10 candidates who applied for the position.
Five of the ten candidates do not meet the qualifications for the position. The last time the job was up back in 2017 board members say they received 70 applicants.Wednesday the school board also voted unanimously to extend the contract of interim superintendent Dr. Dana Kriznar through the end of June 2024.
