VIDEO: Bus driver punched by parent prompts calls for better security

Surveillance video of the incident captured the moment a man lunged onto a bus and hit the driver as a child screamed.get off their bus Friday afternoon. One student even pauses to give the driver a fist bump.

Then a man starts cursing and when the driver holds back a small child to confirm their parent is present, the man lunges onto the bus and throws a punch at the driver.“There’s no cause for that, especially in front of your kids,” said Fairmont Heights Bus Driver and Union Leader Nicole. The head of the school bus drivers’ union has been demanding better security for drivers and says this video proves the need.
