Tender documents published this week reveal the department now believed a new primary school would be required to relieve enrolment pressure in existing inner-west school catchments from 2028 or 2029. “As identified through previous community consultation processes, there are limited feasible options within the boundaries of the inner-west area and identifying options nearby may allow, for example, a new school to be developed in conjunction with catchment adjustments across the broader school network,” she said.
