The nephew of a man being treated in hospital shared pictures of a clump of food that was given to him at dinner time and supposed to be cottage pie.

Paul Wardrop said the meal served to his uncle at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow was a ‘f****** joke’ and that he would ‘rather eat dog s***’.A clump of food supposed to be mushy peas Posting pictures of the food to Facebook – a burnt mass with potato on top for the cottage pie and a green clump he could hold up that was supposedly mushy peas – Paul said: ‘This what my uncle Thomas got for his dinner tonight in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.‘I would not give an animal that because it probably wouldn’t eat it.Advertisement‘I would eat dog s*** before that, but I would probably just do without.

In January, an MSP shared a picture of an omelette meal one of his constituents were served elsewhere in Scotland, at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, which was described as being ‘unsuitable for dogs’.
