Staff and youngsters who attend Newarthill Primary School took part in its 50th anniversary show called ‘Through the Decades’.

Each class has studied a decade during which our current school building has been open; 1970s-present day. Our amazing pupils are so proud of their achievement of putting on their fabulous show.

“All of our staff have gone over and above to plan and deliver the 50th celebrations and have done a brilliant job. We had a great turnout on the afternoons when the school was open to the community. It was lovely to hear all about the memories others have of our school. “Our pupils had a great time on Thursday taking part in games organised and delivered by Lauren Gilbert, our Active Schools co-ordinator. Lauren was accompanied by Chloe Smyth and Abi Stevenson, Young Ambassadors and Sports Leaders from Brannock High School, who supported the delivery of these sessions.“Thank you again to our fabulous parent council for organising drinks and a snack for pupils.
