Released in the Atlantic Associations of Universities report unveiled Friday, full-time enrolment for the 2023 fall term is 8,287 students. This is 3,054 more students than 2022, an increase of 58.4 per cent.

These cohorts happened when students who deferred acceptance due to the pandemic or visa delays started their programs. Currently, there are 9,100 students enrolled at Cape Breton University which is the highest number the university has ever had and about 77 per cent are international students.
