BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A teaching assistant of a Buckeye school has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy.
Diana Pirvu, 23, was taken into custody this week after investigators reviewed communications exchanged between her and the juvenile student. Police said several incidents of abuse allegedly occurred off campus between Pirvu and the boy. Police were contacted on Oct. 11 by a family member of the boy who suspected Pirvu was being inappropriate with the student.
The suspect worked as an instructional assistant at Imagine Schools in Buckeye.
