Celia Hammond has been chosen to run for Julie Bishop’s blue-ribbon seat of Curtin at the next federal election. West Australian Liberal Party members pre-selected the lawyer and former University of Notre Dame vice-chancellor on Sunday. The State Council will need to ratify the decision to make the choice official, expected to happen later in the week.
