New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has defended her party’s ongoing support of the $730 million demolition and refurbishment of the Allianz Stadium in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

Launching the NSW Liberal Party's election campaign in Sydney's west on Sunday, the Premier also pledged billions on schools, hospitals and after school care for students. Ms Berejiklian says her government is ‘delivering the greatest public investment in public transport in Australian history’, with 45 major projects, each worth more than $100 million.
