the same issues that you see happening to cali has been happening across the nation since 2011. This is an epidemic to our public school system. inclassnotcuffs

The problem is that all the other kids & parents are not understanding enough of the kids who, as they allege, 'act out.' These kids are just learning to express their freedom and individuality. This Government program is the right first step. Understanding, not incarceration. 🤣

The fact one person pictured has the title of 'director of Social Emotional Wellness' makes it no surprise the schools are facing discipline problems.

It is epidemic that lot of teen r so nasty in many ways. We can not dismiss lightly on this matter. Most of the time these teens r nasty cuz their parents r not good with parenting.

Kids exposing themselves at school as well?

The behavior is a result of parenting, and the lack of morality that is epidemic in this world we have to raise our children in. It takes parents, extended family, faith community and a moral and ethical society to develop whole, healthy functioning adults.

California schools also loose funding for each student they suspend and expel. But they don’t like to advertise that because it’s a major reason why they don’t do either.

More chaos under liberalism

Parents stopped raising kids 20 years ago... put them in front of the TV... now kids raising kids.

More nonsense from the 'shame is always bad crowd' who push these failures of programs. Who'd want to work in a dump with a bunch of animals like that?

Apparently the people here didnt read the article - the issue is that the principals and school leadership are not ENFORCING the existing rules and are not giving consequences when students are sent out of the classroom.

Feel most sorry for the kids who don't act out and just want to learn - and can't. Several teachers I know have said that learning cannot take place in an environment of chaos and lack of discipline.

Perhaps this is what happens when school districts are more concerned with sanitizing their behavior stat reports than teaching kids appropriate consequences for their poor choices? 🤔

We all know why this is happening. The media will never say it though...

I've been telling my wife for years now that the writing is clearly written on the wall. Public schools will only be for the low class blue collar workers, and the private schools will be reserved for the upper class white collar workers, or the so-called 1%.

What!!? You mean coddling students that consistently act out has negative repercussions! Who’d of thought? Guess the “ass kissing” methodology of modern education may have have some set backs. Hmm...

And one wonders why teachers quit. It’s BS like this.

This kind of thing is nation wide now. The public educational system is a failed institution. My wife has been teaching for 25 years and is getting out after this year because it has gotten so incredibly bad. The school boards cares nothing for the students or teachers.

Worked at a school that implemented PBIS & we experienced more issues midway through the year which led to lots of teachers & administrators leaving. PBIS doesn’t work for every school 😕 truth

The result of letting the state raise your children

California ... where urine is not just for sewers anymore ... on the streets ... in your lunchrooms ...

This is a problem the schools end up dealing with but it starts at home where kids are free range and taught that whatever they do is perfectly fine.

But I thought California was a liberal utopia
