Rockford Police Lt. Andre Brass said officers from multiple agencies were searching for Floyd Brown, 45, who had been staying at the Extended Stay America hotel off N. Bell School Road when a team of officers attempted to serve him with several warrants."The subject fled the room he was in and the subject is at large right now," Brass said.
Brown is armed with a rifle and is believed to be driving a light blue or silver Mercury Grand Marquis with a license plate of BF13112 or a temporary plate of 4850256, Brass said. The injured officer has not been identified and his condition is unknown. It was not known what Brown was being arrested for.
"We just want to end this incident peacefully with his surrender," Brass said."That's what we are looking for."
Well that's why they have guns right? To protect themselves from a tyrannical government trying to serve warrants. My state went to an open carry state and now we have a lot more shootings in parking lots. Guns are stupid and we need to get people to realize that.
