When Harry arrived at secondary school, he could neither read nor write.

The previous two generations of his family were illiterate, too, so Harry had seen close up the limited opportunities this leads to. “Basically the aim for me is, like, to have a better life than my dad,” is how the boy from Feltham, West London, puts it.

According to an 84 year old retired school teacher, I know, it was a problem 35 years ago. 🤔

Hold on, how dare you call people white. I want a formal apology.

Totally let down. They amounted nationally to 85% of grammar school pupils and responded well to the competitive sports, cadet training & discipline found there. Ferocious Governors ensured poverty was no handicap. In 10 yrs Eton would have been the only public school left.

Because their parents don’t value education and spend too much time in the pub

Lazy and stupid? Next generation to the old Brexit voters! Same 💩!

Parental reading with and talking with, not to, their children is the best preschool and encourages the growth of a child's abstract thinking capacity too.

Why are white working class boys falling so far behind in our schools? RACISM racism WhitePrivilege Conservatives

May be segregated community educational ills cannot be segregated after all.

Blaming minorities like a lot of twitter users seem to be will not solve the issue. Minorities do better as tend to devote more resources and time to educating their children. Maybe parents need to take more interest in their children's education.

Bad parenting, bad teaching, too much computer use and social media, all culminate in low self esteem and lack of engagement.

Because they are the target of the cultural Marxism practiced in the educational systems. They are basically to be blamed and shamed and made to feel guilty by everyone that has a left sided political barrow to push. It’s evil.

Because they have been demonised from all angles and no one cares. The whole system is stacked against them. I.e. Lack of male teachers... They do not fit the agenda of the Intersectional left - as white anything must be at the top where all the power is...

Glad I don’t live in the UK when out into a pigeon box based on completely separate humans . What a con / bluff !

But muh white privilege!

Excuse me : how are they working -class if not yet working ? You mean their parents are !

Fortnight.

This a very serious problem. So much is spent looking after the minorities to assuage the pc bloc that this group has been ignored. These boys/men will now become the dissatisfied soldiers of Tommy Robinson. Hand wringers and snowflakes beware.

If you tell a child they have done somthin they have not, over n over, it causes a mental illness akin to prolonged mental abuse. Example: if you tell a child they are inherently bad because of their skin and they have privilege, eventually they will believe it and not care.

When my daughter was at school she started falling behind in English and the school couldn't give her extra help as she was English Every school that had foreign children were given $9,000 extra per child to give them help. Consequently British children are failing badly

I engaged with a 8 years old girl Aplaku school Accra Ghana who could not even read nor speak the Alphabet. Partly using an app i wrote & 1 to 1 sessions with her , she was capable of reading Ladybird books a few weeks later.

Being white and male is racist... probably. 🙄

Because they are despised by the political class.

They need help like the girls received in the 70s/ 80s. Also there are nowhere near enough male teachers in the classes who were much more respected. My wife raised this issue and I agree totally. Misandry is alive and kicking. Sort it.

Computer games?

Because the indoctrination system once called 'education' is pitted against them.

Because white working and middle class males are the only ones without actual rights. Everyone else either belongs to a protected class, or they can buy themselves what they need.

Teachers are women...and find it acceptable to ignore them in favor of girls... perceived victims

I-am sure it has nothing to do with the diversity push of ivory tower liberals

Drugs?

Is the way education is assessed by 'ofsted' ratings 'sats' failing a group of students, who it has been recognised for many years are underachieving?

This is caused by people in positions of power obsessing over identity. A generation of people brainwashed into thinking women and minorities are horribly mistreated victims and that white males are the devil.

Because nobody represents their interests. We are driven by noisy pressure groups.

Patriarchy

Because their parents are all stood outside Parliament wearing yellow vests?
