The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons flexed their might against host school University of the East Red Warriors, 84-69, in UAAP Season 86 men's basketball Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

A scorching hot 32-9 start in the first period was all UP needed to dictate the pace and dominate the rest of the way. CJ Cansino delivered another productive numbers for the Fighting Maroons with 17 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
