A man who has maintained he was wrongly accused of sexual harassment while attending a Georgia university is now facing a murder charge in California.Joseph Roberts, a 42-year-old U.S. navy veteran, is accused of killing a young woman whose dismembered body was found this summer on the shoreline of San Francisco Bay.

He was kicked off the Savannah State University campus following accusations by three women that they were sexually harassed by him. He was allowed to continue his studies virtually.Despite this, Roberts made a name for himself after earning entry into law school and being allowed in media interviews to explain how the #MeToo movement nearly ruined his life.

In February 2011, the Navy Federal Credit Union sued Roberts for $4,689 for late payments on a used Mercedes.
