The annual contest was won by Armaan, a student at Alexander Graham Bell Public School.
“Armaan’s poster, illustrating his knowledge and understanding of the importance of smoke alarms and home escape planning, was selected from 490 submissions,” noted organizers. “The poster incorporated many important fire safety messages, including getting out of the house when the smoke alarm sounds, having a home escape plan, going to a designated meeting place outside, as well as testing smoke alarms every month to ensure they are working.
Officials will pick up Armaan at school on Thursday. The new Chief’s duties include overseeing a school fire drill and meeting politicians at Town Hall.Ctrl+Enter
