Parents and pupils from Sandisulwazi Secondary School in Paterson outside Port Elizabeth protested over teacher shortages along the N10 on Wednesday.
Beetge said members of the Public Order Police unit were deployed to the scene where the crowds later dispersed.This is not the first time parents and pupils have taken to the street to express their grievances.
