Adverts for Freddo bars, the Cadbury chocolate frog, have been banned for breaking rules on marketing junk food to children.
Complaints were also made about two YouTube ads for Freddo - as well as the Cadbury's website, which featured a downloadable comic and audiobook about the character's mission to find his friend's missing hop.Mondelez, which owns Cadbury, insisted that the poster was put up close to a school in error - and said the brand has a"long-standing commitment to not market directly to anybody under the age of 16".
I have seen these adverts, they made me buy and then eat 100 in one go. Said no one ever
But what about Labour.....
Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime. A giant amongst Pygmies!
Oh ffs people ,dont buy it then..i love them and im slim..deal with it
Right that's one Dow,can we now ban modelez completely as it has ruined Cadbury and made the chocolate rubbish .oh and put Easter back on your eggs
Glad to see we have our priorities right....
FFS I wish this absolute crap would stop. Is there anything else left to ban!? 🙄... clowns
The Mayor has done a great thing for London. No snack attacks on the tube have been reported to police in the past 24 hours. Freddo is on the back foot.
Bonkers. Nanny state.
Too stupid for words. This is what our laws have become after years of the EU making the big laws. We're goverened by imbeciles.
At last some common sense...
First they came for the Freddos and I did not speak out.
what can't we eat frogs now?
cjsnowdon I do hope Tania Snuggs is a real person and not a made up name to fill copy.
I never liked that little green bastard!
And that is all that we have got to worry about in our country
Ban banning things, under penalty of being banned
There was chocolate ads on tv when i was young but the difference is i maybe had a chocolate bar after playing outside all day not after sitting on my ass in front of a PlayStation
This is the world we live in... 😑
We can’t eat the French damn Brexit.
When i was younger i hardy ever watched TV... yet still i loved eating junk food, banning ads will do fuck all
freecountry
Nanny state
Haven’t these people got anything to do other than complain about things like Freddie the Frog 🐸 get a life
get a grip. parents say no and stop pinning it on companies
Grew up on this shiz and many more “junk” foods. I’ll give you one word...moderation. Kids are fat bcos of lazy parenting, the inability to make a meal. Instead the ready meal is far easier. Start at the source.Stop giving kids so much money to binge and get off ur ass and cook!
A sad day.
But CadburyWorld host regular school trips. How can a Fredo be any more tempting than a trip to a chocolate factory?
Wtaf is going on in this over pampered Nanny State?
Worlds gone mad, again! What’s kids eat is purely down to the parents, need to educate them.
World gone mad
Forget knife crime... hows about a Freddo Amnesty where young adults and young people can hand in their Freddos at local Police stations without fear of prosecution.
No no. No one’s eating frogs. 🤣
Ridiculous
I hate this world.
FreeFreddo from the sugar nazi’s
😂😂😂
Aw feck it that's the final straw. It's political correctness gorn mad!!!!!
That's just stupid, it's all about responsible parenting!
Your soon not going to be able to eat drink or breathe for things being bad for you. I think everything in moderation
Oh no not Freddo
WOW... You have WAY TO MUCH Government intrusion in your lives over there to be worried about this stuff...
Britain had truly gone to shit
This one is hopping mad.
So stupid
Bloody stupid. What they going to ban next?
Should be banned fot the price increase.
There can't be anything left to ban!
Mmmmmm. Choklit.
