Friday, 15 March has been named as an international day of action on climate change.

“I note that 15 March has been named as the date for a global school student strike action. School students in Ireland will, hopefully, join that in large numbers,” Murphy said. The contrast is stark not only with climate change deniers like Trump, but with those like the Taoiseach who acknowledge that climate change exists and the role of human society in it but who do not want to do anything about it. Varadkar said that he would listen to the concerns of students.

“They are children, pupils and students telling all the adults in all parties to get our act together and to do more about climate change because it is their future that is in jeopardy.

You don't need school kids to tell you we need to change, it's down to us and goverment to take action...we should be inspiring our children.

How to push a scam into every home....indoctrinate the children.

Well done Leo. You understand of course that they are striking because you are doing nothing. Formulate an actual plan with affirmative actions attached. Although I suspect you will just invent a TAX and wait for the progress Elf to fix it while your sleeping.

Yeap as I don’t have to pay them and I’ll get loads of likes on Facebook

Ireland has something like the worst biodiversity in Europe and is one of the most polluted. H. Humphrey’s when in heritage and arts refused to ban the cruel ‘sport’ of hare coursing & lengthened the time farmers can decimate nesting birds in hedges and burn land. Leo = liar

What an utter waste of time and money.

But doesn’t support the nurses 😂😂😂😂

As long as they: 1. Walk to get there. 2. Use no electronic devices. 3. Wear only clothing that will biodegrade inside 100 years. (anything containing acrylic 5 to 600 years) 4. Any food they eat/drink should have almost zero carbon footprint. 5. No cosmetics guys or girls.

Of course he does 🤨

Who's at the wheel........not me.

How bloody ridiculous !!

What about Saturday?

Ironic considering his. Govt does nothing meaningful to change it while denying Nurses workers rights with punitive pay penalties. While denying DF personal basic rights.

Maybe they can support the next nurses strike, maybe strike for healthcare for scoliosis children as well.

And does he recommend that the students should join future strikes by all worthy causes LIKE the teachers or the nurses or cie workers who will pay for the time lost in studying
