Halifax Regional Police were on scene of an unsanctioned student gathering near Preston, Larch and Jennings streets in Halifax late Sunday afternoon.Officers were to remain inthe area, focusing on community safety and quality-of-life issues.Police advised the public that any action that unreasonably disturbs the neighbourhood will result in charges and that severe ncidents may result in criminal charges being laid.

Warnings do not have to be given prior to a ticket being issued and reckless behaviour will not be tolerated, police said.
