The 26-year-old male driver and a 24-year-old female passenger were taken to Bundaberg Hospital, but the two other male passengers, aged 37 and 39, were declared dead at the scene.Police say a car and a ute collided on a roundabout in Priestdale before hitting a power pole.The two male drivers were hospitalised.

A 52-year-old motorcyclist died after his bike collided with a four-wheel drive near Hervey Bay on Saturday afternoon. A 21-year-old driver has also died after a ute left the D'Aguilar Highway near Nanango early Saturday morning and rolled into a dry creek.As of last Sunday, September 24, a total of 207 people had died on Queensland roads so far in 2023 — 17 more lives lost than the previous five-year average for the same period, but nine less than the same time last year.

More than a quarter of the state's road deaths this year have been in the North Coast police region alone, which covers the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Wide Bay.
