Lyceum of the Philippines U sustained its fairytale run as it ripped University of Perpetual Help apart, 76-73, last night and reclaimed the solo lead in NCAA Season 99 at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

The Pirates needed a massive double-digit cushion in the third quarter to suppress a furious fourth-period uprising by the Altas and notch their third win in a row.Earlier, San Sebastian ran a scoring clinic as it walloped Arellano U, 111-86.

With the exception of some lapses in the second quarter, the Stags were in full command as they claimed their first win and redeemed themselves from an 80-70 defeat to the Mapua Cardinals Tuesday. Newbie Mark de Leon presided over the carnage by firing 16 points, with five other Stags in Rafael Are , Jessie Sumoda , Romel Calahat , Alex Desoyo and Raymart Escobido producing double-digit outputs.
