A former militant leader, self-styled General Endurance Amagbein, has begun a project to support the indigent and the underprivileged pupils and students in

Amagbein, who is also the Founder of Amagbein Peace Movement , said his support became necessary sue to the importance of education in society, stressing that he was uncomfortable with the rate of the out-of-school drop-outs in some parts of the state because of poverty and other factors.

Amagbein urged the community leaders and pupils to key into the programme to enable their children and wards, who for one reason or the others, deprived of education to gain access. The CDC Chairman, Igbomaturu Community, Mr. Ayibataridei Justice, commended Amagbein for the project, saying it was a step in the right direction.Also, former CDC Chairman, Oporoma Community, Comrade Yogo Okardi, said that the project was a new developmental stride in the rural areas in aimed at changing the narratives in education.

Also, the President, Ijaw Youths Congress Worldwide, Dr. Alaye Tari Theophilus, commended Amagbein for the project, saying it would help to take many students, particularly those that had dropped out, back to school.
