Some years ago, I asked my life\u002Dlong friend Dick Pieper why he invested so much time and effort helping a young man with zero talent.

That third obligation weighs particularly heavy when your mentors leave, a point that was driven home when I learned Tracy Goss has passed away.

The world has plenty of schemers, con artists, charlatans and frauds who leave trouble in their wake. Tracy devoted her life’s work to the other kind of troublemakers – the disrupters who try and fail and try again to make the impossible happen.“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.

Tracy was a champion of the unreasonable. She created The Executive Reinvention Program specifically for people who were charged with doing impossible things.
