Properties listed for sale include 1009 N. Carroll Ave. , 2400 N. Carroll Ave., 1301 N. Carroll Ave., and 200 S. Peytonville Ave. Carroll announced the property sale in a news release. It said the sale was necessary to balance the budget in future years. Carroll officials did not return phone calls and emails from the Star-Telegram concerning questions about the budget and whether the school administration building is included in the property sale.
Its release did not say when the district anticipates a budget shortfall. But it did note that the district is looking at “opportunities to bring in revenue to meet immediate needs. These property sales are one such opportunity.”
