Eight different old-school Nintendo games can currently be played for free, courtesy of Capcom.

Eight classic Nintendo games across the NES and SNES are now available to play for free, courtesy of Capcom. For many, the only way to play NES and SNES games in 2023 is to be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, which is unfortunately behind a paywall. Meanwhile, if you don't have a Nintendo Switch, then this isn't even an option. That said, Capcom has made some of its greatest games of all time free-to-play via browser.

As for what Capcom Town is, it's a recently-launched website designed to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of Capcom. The highlight of the website is the ability to play some of Capcom's"most memorable games." Better yet, you don't need to register to use the website. You can even play the games from your phone's web browser, but Capcom"recommends" using a PC to play the games.
