A 2017 federal lawsuit accused Lock Haven University of failing to provide equitable participation opportunities for females.

Judge Matthew W. Brann had retained jurisdiction until June 30, 2024, to ensure compliance with all the terms of the agreement. His order required notification if it was achieved before then. The additional opportunities and enhancement of our facilities helps ensure all student athletes at Lock Haven will have the opportunity to have exceptional academic and competitive experiences, she said.
