Cape Breton forward Ally Rowe, right. VAUGHAN MERCHANT/CAPE BRETON UNIVERSITY.SYDNEY, N.S. – For the second straight week, a Cape Breton Capers women’s soccer player has been recognized for her play on the pitch in the Atlantic University Sport.

Forward Ally Rowe was named the league’s female athlete of the weekend for the period ending Sept. 24.Read moreRowe scored all four of her team’s goals in a 4-0 victory over the Saint Mary’s Huskies on Sunday in Halifax. Meanwhile, on Saturday, she added two goals and an assist in a 3-0 win over the Acadia Axewomen in Wolfville.Rowe and the Capers will be back in action on Friday and Saturday when they host Prince Edward Island and Mount Allison at Ness Timmons Field in Sydney. Both women’s games are at 5 p.m.
