Officials said in a release the shifting of students in grades 7 and 8 at the middle school into Liberty and Westchester schools, where they’ll join 5th and 6th graders, offers the opportunity to adjust bus schedules and school start times. The result should decrease the amount of time students spend riding buses and waiting for bus pick-up.
Led by Assistant Superintendent Robert McDermott, the team will include two school board members, eight administrators, including a representative from St. Patrick Catholic School, three teachers, one community member and 20 parents.The team will meet three or four times in October and November with the goal of making a recommendation at the Dec. 4 board meeting.
