Youngsters from Crawforddyke Primary have been taking part in WOW (the walk to school challenge from Living Streets Scotland).

Carluke pupils have encouraged their parents to leave the car at home, with the aim of boosting active travel to school.

The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.Audrey Moffat, depute head teacher at Crawforddyke Primary, has praised the scheme. “They are already discussing the different ways they can travel to school, other than by car, and hopefully earn more badges.”

Chris Thompson, programme manager, Living Streets Scotland, said: “WOW is easy for teachers to use, and pupils love to take part.
