For nearly two decades, there has been just one suspect in the shocking disappearance of Natalee Holloway during a high school trip to Aruba.is reporting that the creepy Dutchman claimed in a recently obtained email sent just two days after Holloway vanished that he and his father rented a boat and “took care of things.”
Holloway, 18 at the time, was last seen leaving an Aruba watering hole with Van der Sloot, who was 17. He was identified as a suspect in the disappearance within days but was never charged. His late father was a judge in Aruba with many powerful friends. Now 35, Van der Sloot has been rotting in a Peruvian prison for more than 10 years after he pleaded guilty to the May 2010 sex slaying of student Stephany Flores, 21. He strangled her to death at a Lima casino.
“It’s always seemed most likely that she was taken out on a boat,” an unidentified Aruba investigator told Messenger. “But the key is figuring out who would have taken him out there to do it. He and his father didn’t have a boat of their own.”
