The Quebec Liberal Party says that $220 million worth of school construction work in Liberal ridings has been shelved, while 48 projects in Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) ridings are planned to go ahead in 2023-2024.

·Quebec Liberal MNA Marwah Rizqy says, according to an access to information request, all but one of the 48 approved school renovation and construction projects selected in 2023-2024 are in Coalition Avenir Québec ridings.

Liberal MNA Marwah Rizqy says meanwhile, $220 million worth of school construction work in Liberal ridings has been "put on hold." Quebec Education Minister Bernard Drainville Education dismisses the accusation, insisting that projects are chosen by bureaucrats based on objective criteria and that he has no say in where the money is spent.
