The cabinet has approved the publication of the Central Application Service Bill in the government gazette for public comment. “A crucial part of this process lies in ensuring that prospective students have access to a single, affordable and easy-to-understand application system that covers multiple institutions of higher learning.”
Also approved by the cabinet for publication for public comment was the Tourism Amendment Bill, which aims to improve the governance of SA tourism as an entity under the authority of a board. It also empowers the minister of tourism to determine the thresholds regarding short-term home rental.
