The Department of Genomics and Computational Biology at the UMass Chan Medical School invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured professor position. We seek innovative, energetic, collaborative scientists using data-driven computational approaches to address fundamental biological questions. Prioritized sub-areas include, but are not limited to, population genomics, molecular and cellular imaging analysis and tool development, statistical genetics, and big-data machine learning.
The Department of Genomics and Computational Biology is housed in the state-of-the-art Albert Sherman building, fostering collaboration with the Department of Systems Biology and the RNA Therapeutics Institute. High-performance computing facilities and other high-throughput experimental core facilities including sequencing, imaging, informatics, proteomics and spatial transcriptomics cores support faculty research efforts.
Applicants should submit a cover letter explaining their interest, a CV demonstrating evidence of productivity and scientific excellence, and a concise research plan . Applicants should invite at least three individuals familiar with their work to upload recommendation letters, but review of applications may begin even before all letters are uploaded.
