A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of being in charge of dogs dangerously out of control causing injury has been further arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a man died following an attack in Stonnall on Thursday, Staffordshire Police said.

Members of the public tried to help as the man was attacked outside a property in Stonnall, while Staffordshire Police said they stopped some children leaving a nearby primary school for “safety reasons”.
