Failure comes despite launch of schemes to woo disadvantaged UK applicants

Oxford and Cambridge universities are teaching nearly a thousand fewer British undergraduates than they were just five years ago, despite spending millions of pounds on programmes designed to widen participation and improve access for disadvantaged UK applicants.

They are going to have to do far more if they want to be successful in attracting students that are disadvantaged. It will take a long time and a lot of work before people stop thinking that they are for the rich elite.

With antisemitism on campuses I'm sure that there will be a lack of Jewish applicants.
