ZAMBOANGA City Mayor John Dalipe and the Local Youth Development Office launched the “Basura Mo Para sa School Supplies Ko” program to promote segregation and proper disposal of waste while addressing the educational needs of students.

Dalipe said that on Wednesday afternoon, September 13, the activity was held at the Zamboanga City High School-Main in Tetuan village. The program is jointly undertaken with the Consejo de Desarollo de los Jovenes and Zamboanga's Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, City Social Welfare and Development Office and Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources .

He said the program requires each student to undertake the responsibility of collecting five kilos of garbage from their homes and school in exchange for school supplies.
