My daughter’s daycare teacher keeps calling her by a weird nickname — I say it’s disrespectful

One frustrated parent is calling out her daughter’s daycare teacher after they assigned her precious peanut a weird nickname the family has never used.to anonymously ask for advice on how to call out the offending parties — without causing offense.Soon, she noticed the teacher had given her bundle of joy a strange and unflattering nickname.“Thinking I might have misheard I brushed it off,” she confessed.“I dropped her off today and they said ‘Ms. Mat will have a great day’,” the woman said.

She explained that she and her family refer to the child as Matilda, Tilly and Tilda but don’t like the nickname Mat.Most people agreed that she should “just flat out say: We don’t care for the nickname Mat.
