Picture: Bhekikhaya Mabaso / Africa News Agency News channel eNCA on Tuesday broadcast CCTV footage of the chaotic and violent scenes at Edenvale High School in Ekurhuleni last week, which saw two suspects being killed in a shootout with police.

In the footage, the suspects can be seen trying to make their escape after their alleged robbery of about R8,000 from school staff went awry at noon on Thursday as the SAPS were already alerted to the crime and intervened. Last week, SAPS spokesperson Sgt Jacob Mashile confirmed that the men had used AK-47s and handguns.
