Mail The search for a Nepalese student missing from the Figure Eight Pools in the NSW Royal National Park will resume this morning. Emergency services were called to the popular swimming spot just after 2pm yesterday after reports two men had been swept off the rocks. “One of the men, aged in his 20s, was able to climb to safety on the rock shelf. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene for minor lacerations,” said NSW Police.

“A second man, believed to be aged 22, was seen to disappear underwater and not resurface.” The missing man, a 21-year-old student from Nepal, was with friends when he was washed off the rocks at high tide. Three other people were with the pair on the rocks at the time but escaped injury. The warning for the pools today.

If you don’t know how dangerous that place can be you shouldn’t go there. You need to go at low tide, when the ocean is calm and even then you have to watch the ocean. Or maybe he is lost in the bush somewhere.
