We visited student accommodation in the city on moving in-day to capture the excitement

The ECHO visited the true Student accommodation building in Islington on the edge of the city centre on Friday September 8, which has 999 rooms for those studying at university in the city. First year freshers and experienced students alike dragged their heavy bags to their rooms and prepared for a year of studying, partying and exploring Liverpool.

This will be Sienna’s first time living away from home. Despite some anxieties, she is looking forward to the year ahead. The building also contains a gym, study spaces and a rooftop terrace with views across Liverpool. Speaking about what moving in day had been like for staff, Rachel Newbigging, Operational Support manager at true Student said: “It’s so exciting to see people coming today and it's not just people from near here.”

She predicted her life will now be “completely different” due to this change. When asked for other reasons why she chose to move to the city, Siobhan said: “Apart from the university course, the nightlife and the shopping. I couldn't say no to it.”
